Common Morph Traits to Look For

Harlequin Pattern
Cream or yellow pattern on the sides and legs. The more coverage, the more extreme.

Flame Pattern
Cream pattern along the dorsal (back) with little to no pattern on the sides.

Pinstripe
A line or broken line of cream running along the dorsal ridge.

Dalmatian Spots
Spots or freckles scatted across the body. More spots = higher grade.

Lilly White
High white or cream coverage, often with dark pattern accents.

Axanthic
Black, white, and gray coloration with little to no yellow or red.

Tiger/Brindle
Vertical striping (tiger) or irregular striping (brindle) along the body.

Bi-Color
Two main colors with little to no pattern. Clean color separation.
Fired Up vs Fired Down Geckos
Crested geckos naturally change color depending on mood, humidity, temperature, and activity levels. This process is called “firing up.” This is completely normal and can make morph identification more difficult for beginners.
